Born in 1990, Camille Pepin is one of the most successful rising young composers of her generation. She began her musical studies at the Regional Conservatory in Amiens, studied with Thibaut Perrine and then entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where she was awarded first prizes in Orchestration, Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue and Form, Analysis. She studied notably with composers Thierry Escaich, Guillaume Connesson, and Marc-André Dalbavie - all of whom were paramount in her musical journey.

She won a lot of prizes : Jury Prize and the Audience Prize at the composition competition Ile de Créations 2015, Grand Prize "young composer" Symphonic Music SACEM, Audience Prize Jeunes Talents Festival 2016, Prix Encouragement Musique from the ’Académie des Beaux-Arts 2017, Trente Eclaireurs Vanity Fair 2018, composer of the year in Victoires de la Musique Classique 2020 for her work The Sound of Trees

Her compositions have been played by numerous orchestras (Los Angeles Philharmonic, Malmö Live Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre national d’Île de France, Orchestre national de Lyon, Orchestre Colonne, Orchestre de Picardie), and performers (Yan Levionnois, Julien Hervé, Raphaëlle Moreau, Célia Oneto Bensaïd, Anaëlle Tourret, Thibault Lepri, Adélaïde Ferrière, Auryn Quartet, l'Ensemble Polygones). They are conducted by Arie van Beck, Leonard Slatkin, Karen Kamensek, Ben Glassberg, Nicholas Collon, Julien Leroy, Vahan Mardirossian, Débora Waldman, Léo Margue etc...
She is invited in numerous festivals (Festival international de musique de Besançon, Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, Long-Thibaud Competition, Festival de musique des Arcs, Festival Présences, Festival Messiaen au Pays de la Meije, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Festival Européen Jeunes Talents, Musikstage Mondsee).

Her works have been played in the most prestigious concert halls (Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Elbphilharmonie de Hambourg, Wiener Konzerthaus, Kölner Philharmonie, Barbican Center London, Philharmonie de Paris, Auditorium de Radio France, Walt Disney Concert Hall Los Angeles, Müpa Budapest, Bozar à Bruxelles, Konzerthuset Stockholm, Konzerthaus Dortmund, Sage Gateshead…). 

In April 2019, her work Vajrayana is choreographed by Xin Pen Wang for the Bayerisches Junior Ballett München.

Her first album Chamber Music (NoMadMusic, 2019) won a lot of press prizes : Choc Classica, Choc Classica of the year 2019, 
SuperSonic Pizzicato, FFF Télérama, Choix de France Musique, Joker de Crescendo Magasine.

Camille is a grant recipient of the Foundation Banque Populaire. Her works are published by Billaudot Editions, Durand-Salabert-Eschig and Jobert Editions.
